Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder capable of certifying on multi-process tubes and fabrications. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding components to assemble frames, tanks, pressure vessels, and pipe systems per blueprints and metallurgy.

Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW is preferred. Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, performing various welding processes, and ensuring welds meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and dimensions.
• Ability to verify welds to specifications and tolerances.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe and material types per specifications.
• Plan layouts and welding sequences for assemblies.
• Weld using SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW as required.
• Fit, align and weld components in various positions.
• Perform tack welds, deburring and joint cleaning as needed.
• Inspect welds and adjust technique to ensure depth and fusion.
• Handle electrode changes and operate welding power sources.
• Maintain tools and work area; observe safety rules.
