Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Welder with extensive PPV (Process Piping and Vessels) experience to join our team. You will perform welding operations on piping systems, vessels, and structural components, following approved WPS, drawings, and industry codes to ensure high quality and safety.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, preparing materials, operating welding equipment, inspecting welds, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized welding program or apprenticeship is highly preferred.
• 1-5 years of welding experience with PPV (Process Piping and Vessels).
• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and welding various materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics accurately.
• Knowledge of relevant welding codes and standards (ASME IX, AWS D1.1).
• Current welding certifications are a plus.
• Strong safety awareness in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW on piping systems, vessels, and structures per blueprints and WPS.
• Interpret drawings and welding symbols to determine techniques and material requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment and ensure safety.
• Inspect welded joints for quality and correct defects.
• Follow safety protocols, policies, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Document welding activities, material usage, and inspection results.
• May perform other duties to support project needs.
