Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Welder with Process Piping and Vessels (PPV) expertise to perform welding operations across piping systems, vessels, and structural components in industrial environments.

You will read engineering drawings and welding symbols, prepare materials, operate welding equipment, and ensure high-quality, code-compliant welds. Travel to job sites and adherence to safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized welding program or apprenticeship is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Welder, with strong PPV background.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and ability to weld various materials (carbon steel, stainless, alloys).
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics accurately.
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 welding codes.
• Current welding certifications are a plus.
• Strong safety knowledge in industrial settings.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using multiple processes on piping systems, vessels, and structural components per blueprints and WPS.
• Interpret drawings and welding symbols to determine techniques and material requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning surfaces.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment; ensure safety and proper function.
• Inspect welded joints for quality and conformance; correct defects as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, environmental regulations, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Document welding activities including material usage and inspection results.
