Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is often preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of welding experience with proficiency in multiple welding techniques.
• Certification in welding from recognized organizations (e.g., AWS) may be required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Physically demanding role requiring good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components to fabricate or repair products using MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine processes and materials.
• Inspects and maintains welding equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Performs repairs on broken parts, fills holes, and increases part sizes as needed.
• Follows safety protocols and uses PPE.
