Job summary

Winston Taylor is seeking a mid-level litigation associate with 3–5 years of patent litigation experience to join its intellectual property practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience representing both accused infringers and patent owners before district courts, the ITC, and/or USPTO PTAB proceedings.

A degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science is preferred; USPTO registration is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Attorney with 3–5 years of patent litigation experience.
• Experience representing both accused infringers and patent owners is required.
• Admitted to the bar in the preferred office location or eligible to waive admission.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in patent litigation before district courts, ITC, and PTAB proceedings.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies with senior counsel.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and pre/post-trial briefs.

Job description

Winston Taylor is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and highly qualified mid-level litigation associate to join its intellectual property practice. Candidate should have three to five years of experience as a seasoned patent litigator with extensive experience representing both accused infringers and patent owners before district courts, the International Trade Commission, and/or before the USPTO in PTAB proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical/computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent professional experience. USPTO registration is a plus but not required. While California and Texas are the preferred office locations for this position, we will also consider candidates within our other offices. All candidates must be admitted to the state bar of their preferred office location.
