Join to apply for the Multi Modality Technologist role at CHI.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of MRI and other imaging modalities in an outpatient setting to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities, or with general and peripheral vascular ultrasound and echo or sonography modalities. The technologist is primarily responsible for daily operations of the outpatient MRI section, patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). Maintains high medical ethics and is self-motivated to enhance knowledge of the field, diseases, and evolving procedures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize innovative customer service techniques to ensure a positive patient experience.
  2. Act professionally with internal and external customers to promote a patient-centered environment.
  3. Perform all tasks associated with MRI/CT and CT Tech roles.
  4. Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
  5. Administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
  6. Evaluate imaging studies for technical quality, process images, and label appropriately.
  7. Participate actively in patient care exams, including routine, urgent, and emergent requests.
  8. Review physician orders for consistency and appropriateness.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain procedures and offer reassurance.
  10. Maintain communication with staff and radiologists to ensure effective workflow.
  11. Complete image processing, PACS QA, and documentation for departmental records.
  12. Complete all image post-processing.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree (preferred).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in R, CT, MR, N, or M. For ARRT (CT), must obtain certification within 9 months of hire/transfer.
  • State of Texas MRT certification; must be maintained as current.
  • BLS certification.

Pay Range:

$32.08 - $46.51/hour
