Capitol Imaging Services, LLC. is a dynamic and growing company with multiple locations. Our commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction means every member of our staff plays a vital role in a patient's journey towards healing.

We currently have an opening for a PRN X-Ray Technologist at our Houston Premier Radiology, PARS, and Alliance Imaging centers in the Houston area.

Responsibilities

1. Performs X-Ray procedures including instructing and preparing patients, selecting protocols and coils, and performing the examination ordered.
2. Verifies patient identification and confirms physician’s orders prior to performing any X-Ray procedure.
3. Obtains pertinent medical information/history to assist radiologists and provide valuable insights for diagnosis.
4. Completes all necessary paperwork and computer work to expedite patient flow, ensure proper completion of exams, verify images in PACS, and facilitate prompt patient release.
5. Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.

Requirements

1. Knowledge of safety requirements to instruct patients and recognize hazardous conditions.
2. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
3. Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other departments regarding protocols, scheduling, and patient flow.
4. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues, and referring offices.
5. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.

Preferred Experience

Minimum of 1 year experience preferred. Multi-modality skills are a plus, with opportunities to learn Mammography.

Required Education/Certification

1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
3. Current ARRT Radiologic Technologist License.
