Job summary

MercyOne in Perry, IA is seeking a Part-time Radiologic Technologist to independently perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and team leader.

You will operate CT equipment and diagnostic imaging devices, including operating room imaging, while instructing and evaluating student technologists and ensuring a clean, well-stocked department environment for safe, patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback.
• Operates CT and Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.
