Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to independently perform CT and diagnostic imaging under a Radiologist or team leader. The role includes training new grads and operating CT equipment across scheduled and call-back shifts.

You will supervise student technologists, follow protocol-driven exams, and maintain a well-stocked, safe imaging department while coordinating with hospital teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice must be maintained.
• Active ARRT registry status and BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures on scheduled shifts and during emergencies.
• Operate CT and Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including in the operating room.
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists.
• Ensure all exams follow established protocols and maintain department readiness.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly department environment.
• Coordinate department activities with other areas of the hospital to ensure patient care.

Job Summary: Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

Shift: Varied with call

What you will do:

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback.
• Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
