Job summary

Trinity Health in Perry, IA is seeking a part-time Radiologic Imaging technologist to independently perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and team leader. The role includes operating imaging equipment, supervising student technologists, ensuring protocol compliance, and maintaining a clean, safe department environment.

Eligible candidates will hold an ARRT registry, an Iowa Permit to Practice, and BLS certification with training in mandatory reporter

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice and ARRT registry.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callbacks.
• Operates CT and diagnostic imaging equipment, including operating room imaging equipment.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked, and orderly department environment.
• Operates equipment safely and reports malfunctions to manager/biomed.
• Coordinates activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas to ensure quality patient care.

Job Summary

Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

What you will do

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
• Maintains active registry status in ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
