Job summary

Adventist Health Twin Cities is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. The role supports achieving departmental objectives and maintains a safe imaging environment for patients and staff.

You will perform at least three imaging modalities regularly, including safe patient transport and contrast preparation when needed. This position is represented by SEIU and requires active radiologic credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Three years' technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment.
• Assists in achieving departmental objectives and goals.
• Performs at least three modalities regularly.
• Safely transports and transfers patients and tests crash cart equipment.

Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:

• * Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• * Master's Degree: Preferred
• * Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• * Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• * American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• * Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
• * ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
• * ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

• * Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.
• * Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• * Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
