Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. The role requires completing at least three modalities regularly and assisting in achieving department goals.

Licensed RT in the state with ARRT certification and BLS is required; a Bachelor's or Master’s degree is preferred, with three years' experience desirable. Join a team delivering high-quality patient imaging services.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology and ARRT certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher; three years' technical experience is preferred.
• Must hold active RT license in the state and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment as assigned.
• Perform at least three modalities regularly.
• Safely transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs and transport mobile imaging as needed.
• Prepare and handle contrast agents per procedures and safety protocols.
• Support departmental objectives and contribute to quality patient care.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Work Experience:
• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
• ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

• Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience.
• Performs three modalities competently.
• Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart.
• Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
