Adventist Health Sierra Vista seeks a capable radiologic technologist to operate X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. You will support departmental goals and contribute to a safe, efficient imaging environment by performing at least three modalities regularly.

The role requires ARRT certification, a state RT license, and BLS. AAS in radiologic technology is mandatory; higher degrees are preferred to advance within the department.

Formación

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required.
• Bachelor's or higher preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.

• Perform radiographic, mammographic, CT, and/or ultrasound examinations as appropriate to experience.
• Safely transport and position patients and manage imaging equipment.
• Prepare contrast agents for imaging procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the department.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma center. Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography equipment. Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals. Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals. Performs at least three of the modalities listed on a regular basis. This position is represented by SEIU.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Required
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Required
• Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET): Required
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
• ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:

• Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography and/or ultrasound examinations consistent with employee's experience. Performs three modalities competently.
• Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs. Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart. Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepares contrast agents for Medical Imaging procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
