Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist I for the Steele Creek Emergency Department in Charlotte, NC. The role requires operating CT scanners and related equipment with proficiency, following departmental protocols and maintaining safety standards.

Shifts include Fri/Sat/Sun weekends (11:00pm–7:30am) with rotating call and holiday coverage. Cross-training in multi-modality CT/DX and collaboration with Radiologists are essential for timely, accurate imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with CT registry.
• Willingness to cross-train and work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment per protocols.
• Verify orders with Radiologist; contact provider for discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment issues.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and holidays.
