Job summary

Riverside Health in Smithfield, Virginia is hiring a Multi-Modality CT Technologist to perform CT and diagnostic exams in a hospital setting. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, perform IV insertions and contrast injections, and ensure proper documentation and safety practices under RHS policies.

The role requires ARRT Radiology and CT certifications upon hire, CPR/BLS, and preferred CT experience. Schedule is Friday, Saturday and Sundays, 7:00–19:00 with call and holiday duties.

Responsibilities

Hiring Range $36.50 - $50.23/Hourly. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Up to $20,000 sign on bonus

Overview

The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.

What You Will Do

• Assists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.
• Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.
• Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
• Detail oriented ability to multi-task organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
