Job summary

Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, VA is seeking a Multi-Modality CT Technologist to perform CT and diagnostic exams as ordered by physicians. You will assist radiologists, select optimal protocols, and document procedures while following RHS policies and ALARA principles.

The role requires ARRT Radiology and CT certifications upon hire, CPR/BLS, and availability for weekend or call shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• CT experience preferred.
• ARRT Radiology certification required (Upon Hire).
• ARRT CT certification required (Upon Hire).
• CPR/BLS certification required (Upon Hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures.
• Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and document results.
• Prepare equipment and supplies and ensure ALARA safety.
• Coordinate patient care and maintain inventory to prevent service interruption.

Smithfield, VirginiaHiring Range$36.50 - $50.23/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewThe Multi-Modality CT Technologist in hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.What you will doAssists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy.Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances.Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation.
