Smithfield, Virginia Hiring Range $36.50 - $50.23/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Up to $20,000 sign on bonus!!! This position is eligible for our new team member incentive program. In accepting this position, new team members may be eligible for a bonus of up to $20,000 over the course of your first 2 years with Riverside! It pays to stay! Rotating four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends. Call and holiday coverage is required.
The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, IV insertions and contrast injections, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.
Assists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice. Performs with a high degree of safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for the preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follows ALARA principles according to policy. Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Reports variances. Coordinates patient care and performs effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services. Detail oriented ability to multi-task organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
