Job summary

Fil-Tec, Inc. is seeking a Production team member to operate and maintain multiple machines in a process production environment. The role involves startup, quality checks, and keeping accurate production and scrap records.

The candidate should have a high school education with some college or vocational training preferred, and be comfortable with data entry and basic mechanical tasks. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with strong math skills.
• Experience with computers and data entry.
• Mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start up machines, repair thread breaks as necessary.
• Put empty cores in core feeder.
• Fill service container with alcohol solution.
• Mix alcohol solution in dissolving tank.
• Inspect bobbins to ensure no long tails are packed out; trim long tails if found.
• Perform quality checks using calipers; record width and OD of sample bobbins.
• Make corrections to bobbin dimensions as needed.
• Seal full boxes of bobbins and prepare for warehouse.
• Print case and box labels using printers.
• Clean thread from machines; sweep and vacuum the floor.
• Weigh scrap at end of shift and record weight.
• Record production and scrap on shift production report.
