Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Machine Operator to run semi-automated production equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, and related manual tasks. The role includes basic setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining production quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts with gauges, reading work orders and blueprints, documenting downtime and outputs, and adhering to 6S lean standards. Overtime may be required as needed to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, or other manual tasks
• Inspect product quality using gauges and visual checks, document findings
• Read work orders/blueprints to verify setup and materials
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects
• Record outputs, scrap, and labor hours accurately
• Follow 6S lean practices and rotate across machines
• Cross-train by working in different areas
• Perform other duties as assigned
