Job summary

Public Storage is seeking Property Managers to operate across multiple sites, combining inside and outdoor work with direct customer interaction to assess storage needs and upsell packing materials. You will inspect units daily, handle cash drawers, deposits, and payments, and perform collections when needed.

Candidates come from customer-service sales backgrounds and must have a valid driver’s license to travel between locations; mileage reimbursement is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies.

Responsibilities

• Our Property Managers work independently at multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside
• We assess customer storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies
• Daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability helps ensure spaces are ready to rent
• Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business
• We help keep our customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required
• Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments, including stairs and opening large doors
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintaining exterior grounds/curb appeal
• Experience from various customer service centered sales environments is desirable
• Must have a valid driver’s license and use own vehicle to travel between locations (mileage reimbursement available)
