Job summary

Franchise Restaurant Concept Group in Ames, IA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in delivering guest experience, team development, and financial performance across restaurant operations.

You will lead Team Members and Shift Managers, cover hourly roles when needed, monitor guest feedback, manage scheduling, inventory, and payroll inputs, and travel to support multiple locations as required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to travel to multiple restaurant locations as needed.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience managing labor, inventory, and food safety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and real-time staffing adjustments.
• Oversee inventory processes including ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation (FIFO).
• Ensure accuracy of daily reports, deposits, and financial tracking.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective guidance.
• Lead training initiatives and support new product rollouts and procedures.
• Support marketing initiatives and local store promotions.
