Job summary

YMCA of Southern Eastern North Carolina is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits administration across a multi-location workforce. You will collaborate with Finance, HR, and supervisors to maintain data integrity and compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet recurring deadlines for full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Two+ years of payroll, accounting, or benefits administration experience preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for multi-department or multi-location organizations preferred.
• Knowledge of Paylocity or other HRIS/payroll software preferred.
• Understanding of payroll accounting, GL reconciliation, and payroll-related controls preferred.
• Working knowledge of payroll practices, timekeeping, deductions, benefits, and wage-hour requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
