Job summary

StoneCreek Communities is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Lincoln, NE. The role involves responding to resident maintenance requests, performing make-ready tasks for vacant units, and coordinating with vendors as needed.

The position requires HVAC knowledge, EPA certification or equivalent, and the ability to be on-call. StoneCreek offers a comprehensive benefits package and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Universal or Type I & II) preferred but not required.
• CPO preferred.
• Multi-family maintenance experience including HVAC, minimum 1 year - preferred.
• Must have the ability to be on-call (in a team rotation).

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, diagnosing the issue and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and scheduling repairs.
• Follows procedures to access materials and tools from the property maintenance department and notifies re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork so service requests are tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Complies with safety policies and completes required safety trainings.
• May inspect work by contractors to verify quality and scope.
• Assists in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and property needs.
• Adheres to policy for emergency and non-emergency work orders.
• Completes required monthly courses as outlined by StoneCreek.
• Assists with hazardous weather response (snow, ice, floods, etc.).
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
