Acrisure in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Payroll Associate to process multi-entity, multi-frequency payroll accurately and compliantly. You will own payroll inputs, respond to inquiries, and support year-end activities in a fast-paced environment with high volume.

Requirements include experience in multi-state payroll, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information. On-site presence is required to collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing in high-volume environments.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data validation, formulas, reconciliation).

Responsibilities

• Process assigned payrolls across multiple frequencies and entities for designated populations.
• Serve as primary payroll contact for units and partners; resolve payroll-related needs.
• Validate inputs: hours, earnings, deductions, tax elections, adjustments for accuracy.
• Perform full-cycle payroll activities including regular runs and off-cycle payments.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies; escalate when needed.
• Maintain payroll records and data integrity across HRIS/Payroll platforms.
• Process recurring commissions per plans and schedules; verify data with Finance.
• Support year-end activities including W-2s and audits.
