Job summary

Medina McKelvey, a rapidly growing full-service firm based in Roseville, CA, seeks a Controller to oversee multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will lead month-end close, consolidate entities, and partner with the CFO to drive accuracy and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or CMA certification strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in multi-entity/multi-location environments.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, consolidation, and internal controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the firm and three entities.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies across entities.
• Prepare consolidated and entity-level P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze profitability and deliver KPI packages to the CFO.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions, eliminations, and cost allocations across entities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, especially California.
• Design, document, and monitor internal controls for multi-entity structure.
• Lead day-to-day supervision of accounting staff and training plans.
• Drive automation for reconciliations, consolidation, and reporting.
