Job summary

JBAndrews is seeking an Accounts Manager / Financial Controller in Miami to own the accounting function across multiple companies. You will lead the accounts team, oversee AP/AR, and ensure timely, accurate financial records while working closely with owners and the CFO on financial matters.

The ideal candidate will manage a growing portfolio, optimize processes, and drive long-term improvements in reporting and controls. A hands-on leader prepared to scale with the business is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Accounts Manager, Financial Controller, Accounts Supervisor, or similar senior finance position.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience taking ownership of an accounting function or leading an accounts team.
• Comfortable managing accounts across multiple companies or business entities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work closely with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on and adaptable approach to finance leadership.
• Commercially minded with ability to understand needs of different operating businesses.
• Confident in improving processes and developing the accounts department structure.
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with scope to grow into broader responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounts function across several operating and rental companies.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Lead, support, and develop the existing accounts team.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial records across the group.
• Manage accounting processes, controls, and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with the owners and CFO on financial and operational matters.
• Provide visibility across the financial performance of the different companies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders across the business group.
• Support the long-term transition of responsibilities from the existing senior leadership team.
• Adapt the scope of the position according to the successful candidate’s experience and capabilities.
