Job summary

Cherokee Millwright is seeking a Multi-Craft Millwright to install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment as per layout and rigging plans. You will cross-train across millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and other trades to meet customer needs, while following blueprints, safety rules, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include alignment, foundation construction, tool use, and operation of forklifts or similar lifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Cross-training in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding or related trades.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment per plans.
• Read blueprints and execute procedures with proper clearances.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, and precision instruments.
• Assemble equipment and fasten to foundations or structures.
• Operate forklifts and other lifts; maintain safety and quality.
