Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. in Morristown, TN is seeking a Multi-Craft Millwright to install, dismantle, or move heavy machinery according to layouts and blueprints. You will be cross-trained across trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and sheet metal to meet customer needs.

This role requires reading blueprints, assembling equipment, aligning machinery, and operating hoists and forklifts. A high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience are typical prerequisites; we

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines.
• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, airbags, and fork trucks.
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
• Constructs foundation for machines; uses shims and tools to set clearances.
• Aligns machines using hoists, jacks, and measuring tools.
• Assembles machines and secures to foundations or structures.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders.
• Operates Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and Boom Lifts.
• Additional skills in other crafts may be required.
