Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Mebane, NC is seeking a Maintenance Support to assist the maintenance team in the execution, planning and scheduling of work orders to maintain the facility and production equipment, with an emphasis on safety and hazard-free operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ industry experience in facility, large equipment electrical and mechanical.
• Or 2-year Technical degree and 1 year industry experience.
• Excellent leadership communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal.
• Experience troubleshooting and can demonstrate: Electrical schematics, Mechanical systems, PLCs, HVAC, Air Compressors, Hydraulic systems and paperboard converting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance work orders planned by the Maintenance Coordinator and directed by the Maintenance Lead.
• Planning and Scheduling – provide repair time estimates to aid in planning of maintenance work orders and execute them as directed by the Maintenance Lead.
• Process Improvement – participate in asset reliability programs and drive downtime reduction and productivity improvements through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Human Resource Development – support training materials and shop floor engagement to enable asset reliability initiatives.
• Quality and Customer Satisfaction – actively participate in the asset reliability program through timely and correct completion of work orders.
