Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our Corrugated facility in Kansas City, MO. Operate equipment, monitor control systems, and troubleshoot to meet production targets in a high-volume plant.

We seek 2+ years of maintenance experience, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics. Training will start on 1st shift (7am-3pm) before moving to rotating 3-2-2-3 shift. Overtime may apply.

Qualifications

2+ years maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical issues.
Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment.
