Job summary

Blockful is seeking a backend engineer to design and operate data pipelines across chains. You will index contracts, roles, and permissions, keep data in sync with on-chain state, and build observability into the data layer.

This role emphasizes correctness, end-to-end ownership from schema design to on-call support, and hands-on experience with EVM indexing and scalable pipelines in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Backend engineer with production data pipelines at scale.
• Experience indexing EVM chains and decoding contract state.
• Bias for correctness: tests, reconciliation, and clear failure modes.
• Ability to own a system end to end, from schema to on-call.

Responsibilities

• Design and run multi-chain indexing for contracts, roles, and permission changes.
• Keep evaluation data fresh, correct, and reconciled against on-chain state.
• Build the alerts that fire the moment control shifts on a tracked protocol.
• Make the data layer observable so problems surface before scores do.
