Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking an IT Support Specialist I to provide frontline technical assistance across two Tucson campuses. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and classroom tech issues while ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations in a multi-campus environment.

The role requires servicing staff, school leaders, and students, managing tickets, and prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year IT or technical support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android devices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SMTP.
• Ability to travel regularly between two Tucson campuses during the workday.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to staff, school leaders, and campus users across two Tucson locations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and technology-related issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
• Support classroom and office technology, including projectors, phones, and AV equipment.
• Respond to and manage help desk tickets, prioritizing requests based on urgency, instructional impact, and operational needs.
• Provide clear and timely communication to users regarding issue status and resolution.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate IT team or leadership when necessary.
