Northeast Tool & Manufacturing in Matthews, NC, is seeking a CNC Machining Technician to translate blueprints into precision aerospace components using 5-axis mills, mill-turns, lathes, and Wire EDM. You will verify tooling, offsets, and run quality checks with micrometers and calipers.

The role prefers experience in multi-axis machining, GD&T, and AS9100 environments, with opportunities on 1st–3rd shifts and premium pay on some shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; 1+ year in metal-cutting shop preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T callouts.

Responsibilities

• Operate 5-axis mills, mill-turns, lathes and Wire EDM to produce aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints and tolerances to hold precise dimensions.
• Set up tooling, adjust offsets, and monitor tool wear.
• Inspect in-process and final parts with micrometers/calipers and document results.
• Maintain a clean, 5S workplace and follow PM practices.

As a Multi‑Axis CNC Machining Technician, you’ll translate complex blueprints into flawlessly machined aerospace components using 5‑axis mills, mills, mill‑turns, lathes, and Wire EDM. A 5‑axis program is queued; you verify offsets, confirm tooling, and dry‑run for clearance. Mid‑cycle, you monitor tool wear, inspect first‑article features with micrometers and calipers, compare against GD&T callouts, and make precise adjustments.
