Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year in a metal-cutting machine shop or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint reading fundamentals.
• Comfort with shop math and tolerance concepts (thousandths/tenths).
• Hands-on skill with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC 5-axis mills, multi-axis mill-turns, lathes, and Wire EDM to produce aerospace components.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to hold required dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and maintain tooling, offsets, and tool wear; perform tool changes and recalibration.

As a Multi‑Axis CNC Machining Technician, you’ll translate complex blueprints into flawlessly machined aerospace components using 5‑axis mills, mills, mill‑turns, lathes, and Wire EDM. A day in the life

You clock in, review the job traveler, and load material. A 5‑axis program is queued; you verify offsets, confirm tooling, and dry‑run for clearance. Mid‑cycle, you monitor tool wear, inspect first‑article features with micrometers and calipers, compare against GD&T callouts, and make precise adjustments. Between runs, you deburr, document results, and keep your cell dialed in to 5S standards—ready for the next complex part.

What you’ll handle

• Operate CNC 5‑axis mills, mills, multi‑axis mill‑turns, lathes, and Wire EDM to produce precision metal components.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to hold required dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and maintain tooling: perform tool changes, set/adjust offsets, recalibrate, and track tool wear.
• Inspect in‑process and final parts using precision hand metrology and digital tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machine performance; identify out‑of‑tolerance conditions and adjust or elevate as appropriate.
• Perform secondary ops: deburring, cleaning, tapping, and countersinking.
• Load/unload materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Complete production documentation; sustain a clean, organized, and preventive‑maintenance‑ready work area (5S).

What you’ll bring

• High School Diploma/GED and 1+ year in a metal‑cutting machine shop, or equivalent education/experience.
• Comfort with basic shop math and familiarity with GD&T.
• Blueprint reading fundamentals and tolerance comprehension; fluent in shop decimal conventions (thousandths and tenths).
• Hands‑on skill with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers) and consistent, repeatable measurements.
• A strong learning mindset and adherence to documented processes and procedures.

What makes you stand out

• Associate’s degree or two years of related higher education (machine tool technology or industrial manufacturing preferred).
• Experience in an AS9100 environment.
• Multi‑axis machining exposure; DMG Mori, Haas, Heller, and/or Okuma strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances (from 2‑tenths to 5‑tenths).

Shifts, hours, and premiums

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (premium: +$1/hour)
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (premium: +$2/hour)
