Job summary

ISA Certified Arborist in Tyler, TX is seeking a Mulcher Equipment Operator to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Must have mulcher experience or Geo Boy, Barko, or skidsteer proficiency.

Travel is required for storm restoration work and other assignments. The role emphasizes safety, equipment readiness, and teamwork, with preferred prior heavy equipment experience in utility vegetation management.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience is required.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work as directed by Foreperson.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist crew members and take a leadership role when required.
• Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
• Sets up barriers, signs, flags, and markers to protect people.
• Keep informed on new equipment, specs, practices, and policies.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
