Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Mulcher Equipment Operator to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Must have mulcher experience or Geo Boy, Barko, or skidsteer capabilities to perform essential tasks safely and efficiently.

The role requires standing heavy equipment operation, daily maintenance, outdoor work in varying weather, and occasional storm restoration travel. A high school diploma is preferred, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have mulcher experience or Geo Boy, Barko or skidsteer.
• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mulching/heavy equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for daily work.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Lead or assist crew members and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Set up barriers, signs, and markers to protect workers and the public.
• Report mileage and job progress to Foreperson.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
