Job summary

The Mulcher Equipment Operator at Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services operates heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Experience with mulchers or Geo Boy, Barko, or skidsteers is required.

Safety, equipment readiness, and daily task coordination with Foreperson are essential. Some travel for storm restoration work is expected; background checks and I-9 compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
• Must meet I-9 requirements and comply with E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines
• Follow safe practices and help enforce safety rules
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily work and assist Foreperson
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations
• Lead and assist crew members as needed
• Travel for storm restoration work when required
