Job summary

The Interventionist for Student Success at Dawes Elementary School in Evanston/Skokie School District 65 accelerates achievement for all students, focusing on literacy, math, and social-emotional development through MTSS-based instruction.

The role leads Tier 2/3 interventions, collaborates with teachers and MTSS teams, mentors staff, and uses Branching Minds to monitor progress and communicate with families. A Master's degree and a valid Educator License are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Educator License required.
• Reading Specialist, Bilingual Educator or English as a Second Language Endorsement, preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with data analysis.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for placement at a TWI school.

Responsibilities

• Direct work with students, approximately 70% of time.
• Collaboratively assesses students and groups using universal screening and diagnostic assessments.
• Provides targeted Tier 2/3 interventions in literacy, math, or social-emotional skills.
• Provides remote interventions across schools when necessary.
• Creates plans in MTSS platforms and monitors caseload progress.
• Communicates with families and educators about goals and progress.
• Collaborates with classroom educators to build intervention supports in core instruction.
