Job summary

The Willard R-2 School District is seeking a Behavior Support Paraprofessional to assist elementary teachers with Tier 2/3 behavior management and social-emotional learning under MTSS.

The role supports classrooms, collects data, implements behavior intervention strategies, supervises students, and maintains confidentiality in all matters.

This hourly, non-exempt position emphasizes collaboration, professionalism and timely, respectful communication with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Background check must be cleared.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the MTSS team to support student behavior.
• Assists with planning, problem solving and data-informed decisions.
• Supervises students during teacher-led instruction and activities.
• Supports the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding students and families.
• Participates in MTSS team meetings and professional development.
• Supervises students in cafeteria, recess, and arrival/dismissal.
• Performs routine instructional and clerical tasks as needed.
• Meets district health and safety guidelines for the position.
