Job summary

Jefferson RISE Charter School in Harvey, LA is seeking an Academic & Behavioral Intervention Specialist to deliver targeted Tier II/Tier III supports for struggling students. You will manage a caseload, coordinate academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional services, and partner with families to design effective plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with adolescents in education, youth development, mentoring, behavior support, social services, counseling, coaching, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary case manager for an assigned caseload of students receiving Tier II or Tier III supports.
• Develop and maintain individualized intervention plans.
• Coordinate academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional supports.
• Monitor student progress toward identified goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions and student progress.
• Facilitate intervention review meetings and adjust supports based on student data.
