Job summary

Jefferson RISE Charter School in Harvey, LA is seeking an experienced Math SPED Teacher who believes every student can learn and thrive. You will deliver specially designed instruction in Math to students with IEPs, using accommodations and modifications to meet individual needs.

You will collaborate with general education teachers, collect progress data, run IEP meetings when needed, and help create inclusive, equitable classrooms that nurture independence and confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Special Education certification or eligibility.
• Experience providing direct instruction to students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP process, accommodations/modifications, and progress monitoring.
• Technological proficiency in Google Suite.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Use data to monitor progress and inform instruction.
