Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a MTS Hardware Development Engineer to load, test, and validate thermal solutions for rack-mount servers. The role involves recommending design changes, optimizing configurations, and using CFD and experiments to enhance cooling performance.

You will troubleshoot thermal and airflow issues across new and existing product lines and generate thermal reports while developing CFD methods for current and future designs.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Computer Engineering or foreign equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in thermal design for HPC/AI servers.
  • Alternate: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent with five years of related experience.
  • Experience performing complete thermal design and validation cycles for servers.

Responsibilities

  • Load, test, and validate thermal solutions for rack-mount servers.
  • Recommend design changes and optimize configurations.
  • Use CFD and thermal simulations early in design to prevent failures.
  • Troubleshoot thermal and airflow issues in new and existing products.
  • Produce thermal reports from experimental data and test/modeling benchmarks.
  • Develop manufacturable concepts applying engineering principles.
