Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is hiring a Product Development Engineer (MTS) to develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and systems for semiconductor products.

You will design, develop, and manage activities from product definition through production, release and end of life, coordinating with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as products move toward production and distribution.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's with 5 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in CS/CE/EE or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Alternate combination: Bachelor's + 5 years + foreign equivalent accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products from product definition through production, release and end of life.
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as products move to production and distribution.
  • Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope; exercise judgment within defined procedures to obtain results.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and best practices to design, development, and testing of AMD products.
