Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; healthcare front desk experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking and follow-up skills.
• Comfort using computers, phones, scheduling systems, EMR, email and basic spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals; update patient records and explain next steps.
• Keep patient flow moving by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and cancellations.
• Collect copays and payments accurately, with basic tracking or reconciliation as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA in all front desk interactions.
