Job summary

UW-Stout in Wisconsin is seeking four Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor candidates to develop a Master’s in Social Work, align curriculum with CSWE accreditation, and lead program initiatives. These grant-funded, non-tenure-track roles start as 9-month appointments with potential for summer teaching.

Successful candidates will teach both on-campus and online, contribute to program assessment, and collaborate across faculty to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program
• Licensed or license eligible as a social worker in Wisconsin
• PhD in Social Work or related degree desired
• Two years of social work practice experience with macro-scale focus
• Ability to teach in-person and online social work courses
• Interest in leadership roles (Program Director, Field Director) and curriculum development
• Familiarity with CSWE accreditation processes and standards
• Experience collaborating across campus and with community partners

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing CSWE-aligned curriculum for hybrid instruction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure CSWE standards are met.
• Engage in clinical practicum and internship site recruitment.
• Engage in student recruitment.
• Possible leadership roles within the program (Program Director or Field Director).
• Teach on-campus and online Social Work courses.
• Provide on-campus and remote supervision.
• Support an inclusive learning environment and collegial culture.
• Participate in professional social work organizations and activities.
• Advise students academically and contribute to program assessment and accreditation processes.
