Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stout invites applications for four Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor positions in the Master’s in Social Work program. These grant-funded, full-time, 9-month appointments focus on curriculum development and CSWE accreditation alignment, with summer teaching possible and renewal contingent on grant funding through Sept 2031.

Non-tenure track with potential for later transition to tenure track; candidates will engage in leadership roles and contribute to program

Qualifications

Master’s in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
Licensed or license eligible as a social worker in the state of Wisconsin.
PhD in Social Work or closely related degree desired.
Two years’ experience in social work with macro-scale interventions preferred.
Ability to teach in-person and online; capability to teach Social Work courses; interest in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Develop CSWE-aligned curriculum and program for hybrid instruction.
Ensure curriculum meets CSWE standards with stakeholders.
Recruit practicum and internship sites; recruit students.
Possibly assume leadership roles (Program Director or Field Director).
Teach Social Work or related courses on campus and online; provide supervision.
Foster an inclusive, respectful learning environment and participate in professional organizations.
