Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Master’s Social Worker in Case Management to support clients and families through challenging medical situations, coordinating programs to improve quality of life. A MSW with SC LSW/LCSW and BLS is required. This role emphasizes advocacy, crisis response, and navigating social and practical impacts

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited School of Social Work.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in South Carolina (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) (required).

Responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to assess social and emotional needs.
• Coordinate and plan individualized programs and activities.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support.
• Help families understand the complexities and lifestyle impacts of medical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
