Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a qualified RN for an in-office assignment in Northport, Alabama. The role is a 13-week contract, 7pm to 7am, with every other weekend and holidays as required; the site offers 36 hours per week.

You will work in a multi-specialty unit, primarily MS/Telemetry with PCU as the focus; duties include patient care, pain management, and monitoring telemetry and dialysis patients. Orientation biweekly begins 10/12/2026.

Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience; however, 18 months may be considered with license under supervision.
• Must have ASN degree.
• AL or Compact RN license (No temporary licenses accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a multi-specialty unit (MS/Tele/PCU).
• Monitor dialysis and telemetry; support orthopedic and general surgery patients.

2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty. Must have ASN degree.

Unit Info:

This unit is a Multi-specialty unit. Primarily MS/TELE unit. PCU is the ideal nursing unit if you are looking for an environment to develop a solid foundation for your nursing skills and foster a culture of family and teamwork. PCU is the only 24/7 acute care unit on the NMC campus that specializes in medical and surgical care and can accommodate up to 36 patients. Medical patients include dialysis and telemetry monitoring, along with other acute medical needs. Surgical patient populations include orthopedic procedures (fractures, shoulders, and backs) and general surgery (appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and colon resection). Our dedicated team of nursing and ancillary staff provides patient-centered care to support the patient’s recovery with the goal of reaching optimal patient outcomes. Strong focus is placed on pain management, mobility, and prevention of complications. Our team is dedicated to making our patients' experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe and secure environment.

Floating:

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.

Ratios:

Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and is supported by a Team Leader that is out of staffing.

Additional Information:

Facility can cancel 4 shift per contract with no penalty (would be rare) and has 16 hours of Non-Billable Orientation. OT is after 48 hours regardless of a 36 or 48 hours per week. Unit won’t interview but will offer based off profile. An interview can be arranged if the traveler wants one. 2 attempts to pass a Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding. Contract cancelled if you can’t pass within 2 times.
