Job summary

An IT Services Company based in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced MSP Systems Engineer. This role involves maintaining and supporting client IT environments, ensuring high availability and performance across both on-premises and cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in systems engineering, strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365, along with the ability to troubleshoot and manage multiple client environments efficiently. A background in virtualization and networking is preferred.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in systems engineering or administration, ideally in an MSP or multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: VLANs, VPNs, routing, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with backup/DR tools and RMM/PSA platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and administer client servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Respond to and resolve Level 2/3 support tickets and escalations.
• Plan, design, and implement infrastructure projects.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
• Configure and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and remote access solutions.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure systems are patched, secure, and compliant.
• Document configurations, procedures, and project work.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and internal teams.
