Job summary

Endeavor IT, a leading IT services firm in the United States, seeks a Systems Engineer to deliver project-based technical implementations across Microsoft 365, Azure, and related infrastructure. You will configure, deploy, and support new environments in a fast-paced MSP setting.

The role requires 5-7 years in IT within MSP or similar environments, with strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-7 years of IT experience in an MSP or similar environment; experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP required.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs, routing).
• Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, or similar) and security best practices (EDR, MFA, compliance frameworks).
• Experience with RMM/PSA tools (ConnectWise, Kaseya, N-able, or similar); strong client communication and professional presentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Microsoft 365 and Azure environments within project scope.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity solutions as part of project deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms during project execution.
• Perform system upgrades and configuration changes as part of project deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing during project execution.
• Lead or participate in client onboarding, network and systems refreshes, migrations, deployments, replacements, and assessments.
• Document technical configurations and deployment steps in the PSA for handoff and ongoing support.
• Track time against project tickets in PSA for project financial tracking and reporting.
• Identify and escalate technical risks, issues, and blockers as they arise during project execution.
• Provide on-site support and be available for scheduled project cutover windows, which may occur after hours.
